The Hormone Yoga sequence will be taught step by step to allow and makes it easier to practice by yourself.
Yoga teacher SILVIA TONIETTI was in 2015 certified and authorized as Hormone Yoga teacher by Dinah Rodrigues of who she was a direct student. Personal practice of Hormone Yoga from that date.
WHAT IS HORMONE YOGA
Hormone Yoga has been designed about 30 years ago by Dinah Rodrigues, a yoga teacher of Brazilian origins.
The sequence consists in yoga positions taken from Hatha Yoga tradition, dynamic breathing, Tibetan energy techniques and visualizations.
Pranayama (breathing technique) performed in certain positions (asana) directly massages the glands, stimulating them; the Tibetan energy technique reinforces the effect.
Yoga therapist and graduate in Philosophy and Psychology, she is the creator of the Hormone Yoga method. Ninety years old in May 2017, at the age of 63 she was encouraged by her gynecologist, given her excellent conditions due to the practice of Yoga, to deepen and spread the exercises she practiced.
She studied menopause in its various aspects (physiological, psychological, aesthetic) and she developed a technique that leads to results in a short time since, as she wrote, "women with a low hormonal level who experience the unpleasant effect that derive from this, do not want to wait too long to feel better".
She published an english book: "Hormone Yoga Therapy".
WHO CAN PRACTICE HORMONE YOGA
Hormone Yoga can be practiced in case of irregular menstruation, hypermenorrhea, premenstrual syndrome, menstrual pain, ovarian cysts, premature menopause, pre and post menopause, and in case of: hot flashes, insomnia, headache, migraine, emotional instability, irritability, fatigue due to hormonal changes.
Statistically, after the age of 35, estrogen and progesterone levels may begin to decline and some symptoms may already begin to appear. It can also be helpful if you are having difficulty getting pregnant due to low hormone levels.
NOT TO BE PRACTICE IN CASE OF:
pregnancy, hormone related cancer, heart problems, endometriosis, large myomas, severe osteoporosis, hyperthyroidism, recent abdominal surgery or undiagnosed abdominal pain.
